Industrial Health
As the world struggled with the COVID-19 pandemic, Operators wanted to prevent rampant illness on their sites.
​
JLG Consulting engaged clinical experts, studied CDC Research, and tailored plans to each Operator and site. Perform service for roughly 100 wells a year.
​
JGL's field savvy personnel took active steps to reduce each Operator's pandemic exposure and served as onsite knowledge resource. Besides preventing multiple COVID exposed persons on location, JGL personnel served as first responders to 3 different fires, prevented oil-based mud spills on Federal Property, smoothed over unhappy landowners, and coordinated traffic to prevent delivery bottlenecks of casing and frac sand to location.
Investigations
Operator became stuck at TD of a horizontal exploration well, causing loss of directional tools, side-track, and re-drill. With conflicting stories and finger-pointing from all sides, Operator asked JGL Consulting to investigate and provide learnings as a repeat incident was simply not acceptable.

JGL Consultant performed an investigation, examined all records, and investigated probable causes. Consultant was able to rule out the prevailing theory and discovered an unsuspected, geologic root cause. Recommendations were made and consultant stayed onsite for he re-drill monitoring for signs of any issue.

The re-drill was trouble free through planned TD, so TD was extended. In the extended lateral Consultant noted the first signs of issue. Chain of Command was notified and TD was called. Casing was run to extended TD and cemented. The presence of an unstable formation stringer was confirmed from logs, collected formation samples, and correlation of geo-steering reports.

Client credits JGL Consulting with preventing the expense and embarrassment of a second stuck pipe incident, saving $1.2 Million.
